Every summer the Castle hosts Medieval Days, attracting great number of visitors to experience medieval everyday life of 1533, when the territory of the castle belonged to Bishop of Børglum Stygge Krumpen. Craftsmen and tradesmen offer their goods, nuns and monks can be heard singing blissfully. Mercenaries exercise in warfare, musicians and street performers show their artistic skills, while food is simmering on the grill and bread is baked for the bishop’s dining table. The huge trebuchet is fired, and formidable knights fight each other with lances in impressive tournaments.
